HISTORY

Namaqualand has played host to some 80 years of diamond mining history and when South African National Parks identified the Succulent Karoo as an important biodiversity area, the perfect partner was De Beers. Together we have worked to expand the Namaqua National Park towards the western coastline, including the properties of De Beers. De Beers is achieving a lasting legacy of diamond mining as large-scale restoration and rehabilitation processes are proving to be successful beyond expectation.
